It's been over fifteen hundred days since the Daily Audio Bible began sharing the spoken Word of God every day.  Since then a family has grown in community around this little idea that the Bible has something profound to say and can speak life into the deepest parts of our souls.  This is our fifth year as a community and in this time we've launched a thriving children's ministry, daily Bible readings for Spanish, Hindi and Japanese as well as the Daily Audio Proverb.

 

In August 2008 the WindFarm Prayer Initiative was birthed.  God began to invite us to be people who not only listened to the Bible every day but people who lived it out every day.  The prevailing question seemed obvious but it's one we so often miss:  How can we expect to be strong, lean and mature believers if we don't spend time feasting on God's Word every day and how can we apply the rich textures and truths contained in Scripture unless we're walking with God and with each other?  We've been praying around the world, around the clock at the WindFarm since July 7, 2009,

 

Using the model of St. Patrick (who largely evangelized Ireland and thus saved the faith when the Roman Empire disintegrated) we see God on the move again among us inviting us deeper always while providing the peace only He can give.  Patrick would arrive at a community or clan and ask permission to live outside camp with eight or twelve others.  Once granted permission they erected a small chapel and set about the work of SERVING the clan or community.  When a barn needed raising they were there.  When crops needed harvested they were there.  When babies came they rejoiced and when death visited they mourned but they were always there and every Sunday and Holy day they could be found worshipping in their primitive chapel.  Quickly the clan came to see what was going on in the chapel and quickly they came to Christ only to send out a group of eight or twelve of their own clan to the next down the Great River Road of the Holy Spirit's guidance and presence.

 

This is the essence of physical WindFarms.  It has to start somewhere and we believe from out of the DAB Family we should plant close to home and be able to provide hands on guidance and wisdom to those who are already called to future WindFarms and those who are on their way. 

 

What I do know is that God is extending the invitation to for us to partner to make this a reality.  This is the largest risk we've taken at the Daily Audio BIble.  $150,000 is nothing in the grand scheme of the world but it's what it will take to run this for a year.  I can unabashedly ask for financial partnership on this because I know that a community of artists will flock to it in the Nashville area and from here to the rest of the world.  I know that Christ will be present.  I know that the Holy Spirit will come and reside over it.  I know that it will be a beacon and a model and I know that from it will grow WindFarms all over the world just as God spoke to us in August 2008. 

 

I am prideful enough to be afraid of something like this.  I am just prideful enough to be ashamed to ask for financial partnership but I am unashamed to ask for God's people to flood God's work with resources to accomplish God's bidding (Exodus 35).  We've never done anything without doing it as a community.  This is a brand new season as community meeting places begin to rise.
